Quantum Technologies Applications
NV-center and ultra-high-purity single-crystal diamond, engineered for applications where spin coherence and magnetic sensitivity determine what’s possible.
The Challenge
Quantum coherence has outpaced conventional sensor materials

Biomedical sensing, GPS-denied navigation, and quantum computing all depend on the same fragile resource: a quantum spin state held long enough to read out. Standard diamond, silicon, and vapor-cell platforms carry lattice impurities, spin noise, or bulk cryogenic hardware that erodes coherence before the sensor/ qubit can maximize its outputs.
As designs push toward room-temperature operation, chip-scale integration, and femtotesla-level sensitivity, the host material itself becomes the limiting factor. This is a materials constraint, not an electronics one, and it requires a materials-level solution.
The Solution
Why NV-center Diamond
A nitrogen-vacancy (NV) center is a single atomic defect in the diamond lattice — a nitrogen atom sitting next to a missing carbon atom — whose electron spin can be initialized, manipulated, and read out optically at room temperature. That makes it one of the only quantum platforms that doesn’t need cryogenics or vacuum systems to operate.
